A very popular musical band of the 1980s the band Duran Duran have been placed in the lists of Top ten UK singles chart as well as in the Billboard Hot 100. The name Duran Duran was inspired by a character of the same name in the movie Barbella. A band of three members, Duran Duran, has had the distinction of maintaining permanency in the band as none of the members have left though a few of them like Sterling Campbell, the drummer have joined them. The band was ahead of its times in its talent as they were one of the first to start the trend of remixes.
